Every car is different, and just dropping one in an unmodified factory air box, might not produce any power because the assembly is not capable of flowing more than the filter allows. Most factory air boxes will improve from simply removing the air silencer, then install the better filter for more performance. If the factory system has large tubes, a performance filter will work. Any turbo car will see results, v8 cars, and high rpm engines. Cold air intake systems will also work, as long as the filter is in a position to get cooler air, like the ones that seal off filter from engine compartment.

I use Mann filters in all my cars some have over 300000 km on them. Difference is all my Mann filters are made in Germany like your cold climate one ,not in Spain and therein could like the poor performance of the normal Mann filter you tested!

If you add a second control filter with a know very low/small micron filtration media, use this to see how much and how big the particles are that are passing the oil filter being tested… measure using your micro scope, count number and size of particles in a given area. All other comparisons a side the amount and size of particles passing a filter and the flow restriction are the metrics that have the biggest risk to engine life👍

Just stick with regular paper filter why chance it an u have to take like about an hour to clean an oil then u have to make sure not to oil it so much or oil can get in ur mass air flow sensor no thanks!!

FRAM in North America is a poor filter, also. It is not relevant for North America since most of these filters are not available here. Bocsh, WIX, Fram and Champion are made here

In ur "cling" test, measure out in grams before, let it run in ur metal sliders and after 3hours,12 hours, 24hours, measure how much is collected in the bottom cup. What do u think?

The conclusion is never ever try to invest in performance aur filter. They're shit when it's about filtering the air.

I think the problem is that its tested in closed garage so no real world example which is vastly different. For example when u drive on the road there is huge intake of the air as you drive, in garage there is none

I tried Bosh and SWF. Bosh was garbage. SWF is superior.
